My Job

This is where I work, Im not really sure who would be interested but I suppose I just wanted to show y'all. Kinda lucky that as a textiles student I get to work for an interior design company, most people I know work in topshop or something.

Its a pretty hands on job, as most of the time its only me working, but it is very fun choosing paint and walpaper for peoples homes. I've probably ruined a lot of walls.

Ice Rink

I'm doing a favour...I'm researching and possibly creating an illustration for a flyer/poster to advertise an ice rink.

I instantly thought of using images similar to those of Scandinavian prints and illustrations, but maybe a little less stylised, basically the simpler the better. Ice is so pure and clean I would want that to be replicated in the illustration.

I want something super slick and simple, here is my research hopefully they illustrate what I'm aiming for...

A View From Space via an iPhone 4

Homemade Spacecraft from Luke Geissbuhler on Vimeo.

Video from a camera attached to a weather balloon that rose into the upper stratosphere and recorded the blackness of space.

Geissbuhler used the GPS tracking device on the iPhone 4 to retrieve the capsule, which ended up only 30 miles away from its launch location. The recording was successfully extracted and, after edits, resulted in this stunning video.

Pretty amazing.

Screen Printing

I made these designs on illustrator so I can do some screen printing. I want to experiment with using the gradient technique by using two or more inks to print with on one screen. I'm planning on using about three pastel coloured inks onto black paper. Should be interesting!
